Philanthropy

The sisters of Gamma Phi Beta love to donate their time and money to help those in need.  We currently have two philanthropies that we support.  Our International Philanthropy is Camp Fire USA, and our Local Philanthropy is Orphan Helpers.

Camp Fire USA is a proactive approach in keeping kids off the streets and helping them grow into leaders as well as self-sufficient and confident adults.  We contribute to Camp Fire USA through our fundraising and donations to their organization.

Girls Inc is a national nonprofit youth organization dedicated to inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold.  It has provided educational programs to millions of American girls, particularly those in high-risk, underserved areas.  Today, innovative programs help girls confront subtle societal messages about their value and potential, and prepare them to lead successful, independent, and fulfilling lives.

We also spend time volunteering with different organizations around the community that need help.  Currently we are helping with the Boys and Girls club.  We volunteer our time by cooking out with the children, dancing with their dance team, and hanging out with them.  (You can see the picture of the boys and girls teaching us how to dance on the left.)
We have two large events we host every year to raise money for our philanthropies and are hoping to start more.  The first is a competition for all of the fraternities on campus to see who is "GREEK GOD".

The second event we have is called Moonball and we play volleyball for 12 hours straight.
